Of course I reported this earlier but today i went to the dog park and who was there??? The guy I got my puppy from. He has a dog from the same litter and his dog is 4 months and 38 pounds.

Mine is 4 months 20 pounds and much shorter. Is there something I am not doing? I took him to the vet and he is perfectly fine. I have had dogs in the past and never had these problems. He plays like a big dog and everything but his size doesn't match. Any ideas??

In a litter some pups are smaller and bigger than each others....If the vet said to you that your pup is fine, he's fine! You can opst some pictures if you want us to see what you are talking about Wink

Here are some pictures from my other thread. I dont want him to be massive... it is just everywhere I go people tell me he is so small etc...

Maybe he will balloon soon. If he stays small that is fine but I want him to atleast look like his breed LOL

Give him the chance to grow up, and you'll see in the future how he will be Wink

everybody has already said he looks good. big is not best, better or the greatest. Let your pup grow up be disappointed later or maybe never

I wont be dissappointed even if he stays the same size LOL
I just want to make sure I am not doing anything wrong. I dont want him to have health problems because Iwas feeding him wrong or something like that

Every single litter is different. Just because the littermates are bigger at this age, it doesn't mean that yours will end up being a midget. Every dog grows differently as well.

Don't compare.. just be happy with him and enjoy what you've got. Size shouldn't be your main worry right now. Focus on his overall health instead, that's way more important.

I agree, my main concern is his health - but being so small I though he might not be healthy. We went camping last week and he spent the entire day chasing chipmunks and jumping in the lake so I know his activity level is fine and he is a typical pupy. I do n=now that sometimes with specific breeds you have to do certain things to make sure they are healthy.

I think the main reason I feel this way is because everyone who sees him tells me something must be wrong because he should be much bigger than he is so it makes me feel like I am doing something wrong.

Thanks for the positive words though

this past weekend I saw three pups from the same litter... and all 3 were distinctly 3 different sizes. so don't stress. he looks and sounds to be healthy, just smaller.

Honestly, your dog looks like a mix which would explain why it is "undersized" as far as AB's go.

Cute pup...I do see a pittbull look to him because his nose is a bit long..Most pitt pups that are mixed are usually a little thin then balloon up later.
